Vector-borne Infection Rates Spike Sharply

New report from the CDC’s National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System shows a long-term increase in cases of vector-borne diseases brought on by bites from mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas.


More than 80 percent of vector-control organizations across the United States lack the capacity to prevent and control these fast-spreading, demanding illnesses.
